Tracey Annette Pettit (Farmer)

Tracey Annette Pettit (Farmer), 60, of Bryan, Texas, passed away on October 9, 2021. Tracey was born on September 7, 1961, in Houston, Texas. She spent her childhood growing up in Katy, TX and Waller, TX and moved to College Station during her teenage years and Graduated from A&M Consolidated High School in 1980 where she went and studied art at Sam Houston State University. Tracey loved to go to concerts and had a great passion for music. She had many friends at school and everyone loved to be around her.

In Tracey's spare time, she loved to read, write, and spend quality time with her family. She had a great passion for cooking and at one point dreamed about opening her own restaurant.

Tracey kept many unique collections. She had lots of artwork, old records, and recipes that were passed down to her from family members. She would keep all of the recipes on hand written index cards that she put in an old antique metal box.

Some of Tracey's fondest memories were made taking vacations with her family and friends to Cloudcroft, New Mexico, and summers at the beach in Galveston, TX. She greatly cherished the sweet memories she made there, spending time with her family, and enjoying their company. Tracey also cherished her time when she worked and as an Accountant at Easterwood Airport. She loved her job and worked there for many years. During her time there, she met many famous people, such as George Strait, Chuck Norris, and Rick Perry! She would always excitedly come home telling her family who she met that day.

Tracey's family will always remember her infectious laugh, beautiful smile, and sweet, free-spirited soul. She was the life of the party and never cared what people thought of her. She always taught her family to love hard, enjoy life to the fullest, and to always remind them not to "live to work, but to work to live." Tracey will be deeply missed by all those who were blessed to have known her.

Tracey is survived by her children, Scott Pettit, and Rachael Pettit; son-in-law, Francisco Castillo; stepfather, James Davis; and siblings, Brenda (Farmer) Van De Walle and Kelly (Farmer) Fuschak; and Her Nieces & Nephews, Amanda Fuschak, Chelsey Fuschak, Nicholas Van De Walle, Zack Fuschak, and Kendall Van De Walle.

She is reunited in heaven with her mother, Annette Claye (Hebert) Davis; father, George Edward Farmer, Sr.; brother, George 'Butch' Edward Farmer, Jr.; niece, Phoebe Jane Fuschak; and grandparents, Marjorie Violet (Yocum) and Eba Hebert; and Beatrice (Allen) Tillinghast and Johnnie Wesley Farmer.

"The greatest gift of all is being a part of this world and taking part in it." -Tracey
