Julio Vasquez Lazo, 81, was surrounded by his loving wife Vidal, daughter Teresa, son-in law Pablo and grandchildren Damaris and Pablo when he went home to be with his Lord and Savior on May 31, 2021.

He was born in El Salvador, Central America on September 5, 1939, to parents Felicita Vasquez and Secundino Lazo. He was one of eighteen siblings. He married or as he loved to joke, Vidal Chicas stole him, and they had 5 daughters and one son. Despite a lack of formal education he had an eye for agriculture and established a successful farm from which he provided for his family. The land was his second love and he tended to his farm and cattle up until his body could no longer. He enjoyed spending time with family, the more the merrier and the louder the better. He loved the country life, spending time on his farm was his joy.
He was a respectable man, reserved, but childlike with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He had the heart of a caring and protective father.

He found laughter and joy even during his last few months in and out of the hospital.
He kept his spark and humor alive despite his health struggles. While his health struggles were serious he held firm that he was in the Lord's hands because of Jesus he would one day enter the kingdom of God.

His proudest accomplishments were his children and grandchildren and instilled in his family the value of a strong work ethic. Through and through Julio was a hardworking farmer. His determination, persistency, and drive are attributes that he passed down to this daughters, son, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He loved to assemble puzzles from the simplest (4 piece-puzzles) to the most complex (1,000 pieces). The most creative puzzles were the ones he assembled with his grandchildren. His favorite pieces he would frame and display proudly in his Salvadorian home.

He is survived by his spouse of 60 yrs Vidal, their daughters Margarita, Carmen, Cruz, Teresa, Maribel and their only son Felix.
