Glenn Bruxvoort

Glenn Marlin Bruxvoort, 60, of College Station, proudly walked through Heaven's gates on Thursday, April 8, 2021. He was a devoted and enthusiastic man that was always considerate of those around him. His good sense of humor will be dearly missed and we find peace in knowing he is sharing his laughter with his Lord for the rest of eternity.

A fellowship gathering will be held at Grace Bible-Southwood, on Wednesday, April 14, 2021, at 2:30 pm, with a Celebration of Life to begin at 3:30 pm.

Glenn had a deep dedication and love for his Lord; he had a true servant's heart and never hesitated to share it with every single person he met. He not only understood the scripture, he applied it in every aspect of his life. He shared his strong love for Jesus through acts of kindness.

Glenn graduated high school from Maurice Orange City High School, and graduated with his Bachelors from Northwestern; he then went on to obtain his Masters from the University of Texas. Glenn loved his job as a social worker because it gave him fulfillment; he loved being an example of Christ through his work.

He met the love of his life 16 years ago, when a friend asked him to go on a blind date with Melanie. It was not long after he and Melanie united in marriage and brought their two families together.

In Glenn's spare time, he enjoyed following baseball and football to include playing with friends in fantasy leagues, playing poker with friends, listening to music, and traveling. He also ushered at Aggie football games for many, many years. He cherished the trips he took to include going to Paris, Spain and Alaska, ski trips with his children, trips to visit baseball parks, a surprise 50th Birthday Amazing Race themed trip, and many more. He always looked forward to the Tulip Festival in Orange City Iowa in May.
Anyone that knew Glenn knew he lived every day to the fullest and loved every day of his life. One of his favorite days was when he got to go to the 2005 World Series and caught a pop fly while he was on the phone with his wife!

He is survived by his father Gerald Bruxvoort; his loving wife Melanie; his sons Andrew and his wife Katie Beth Bruxvoort, and Philip Bruxvoort; his daughter Ellen Bruxvoort; his step children Cody Hampton, Cullen Hampton, Megan Hampton Minch and her husband Dustin Minch; his grandchildren Holden Bruxvoort, Allie Joy Bruxvoort, and Bennett Bruxvoort; and his step grandchildren Kelly Hampton, and David Hampton.

Glenn was reunited in heaven with his Mother, Marilyn Bruxvoort.

The family would the specially thank Danny and Linda Stribling, Dr. Erin Fleener, MD Anderson Cancer Center, and the cancer center at St. Joseph Health.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorial contributions be made to POWER ministries.

"The name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous man runs into it and is safe" Proverbs 18:10
