Ester Hubacek, 103, of Bryan, Texas, peacefully went home to be with her Lord and Savior on January 12, 2021. A Visitation will be held on Friday, January 15, 2021 at 1 pm at Hillier of Bryan. A graveside will follow at The Bryan City Cemetery.
Ester was born in Shiner, Texas, on August 27, 1917 to her parents, Thomas and Julia Pecena. She spent her childhood growing up in Shiner and Wheelock, Texas, with her four brothers and two sisters.

Ester was a hard working woman with a good work ethic. She worked at JCPenny as a sales clerk for over 30 years. In Ester's free time she loved to play dominos, collect coffee mugs, sew, crochet, make kolaches, travel, and cook for her family. She would also faithfully attended church and was a member at First Presbyterian Church of Bryan for 55 years.
Ester was strong, independent, and caring. She loved her family and would do anything for them. She will be missed by all her knew her.

The memories of Ester are cherished by her children, Barbara Hubacek Harrington, John C. Hubacek Jr. and wife Clara, Thomas Wayne Hubacek and wife Dorothy, Michael Hubacek; grandchildren, Cheryl Bean, Perri Carr, Thom Hubacek, Andrew Hubacek, Jason Hubacek, Sara Scott, Candice Navas, Michael Hubacek Jr., 11 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren. Ester is reunited in heaven with her husband John Charlie Hubacek; son-in-law, Ira Hugh Harrington, four brothers, and two sisters.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the caregivers at Broadmoor Place for the loving care they gave Ester. She was truly loved and cared for. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made in her honor to the Brazos County Senior Citizens Center at 1402 Bristol St, Bryan or to First Presbyterian Church, 1100 Carter Creek Pkwy, Bryan.
